With a strong focus on technique, you’ll feel Rachel’s passion for Pilates and come away feeling better after every session. To her, an investment in Pilates is one of the best gifts you can give yourself. That’s because the basic Pilates principles are with you whether you’re carrying heavy groceries, hoisting a child or running a marathon. In a sense, Pilates becomes your secret weapon and makes both simple and arduous activities more efficient, effective and safe.

During the initial sessions, Rachel will assess your health, fitness level, posture, and movement patterns and design a program specifically tailored to your body’s needs. You will gain a clear understanding of the Pilates fundamentals using both the mat and various Pilates apparatus such as the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Electric Chair, Spine Corrector and more. She will continually evaluate your body and help you hone your practice as you progress. And with time and commitment, you will have a new body—and feel like a new person!

Bio:

A lifelong fitness enthusiast, Rachel spent hours in the gym doing everything from cardio machines to spin classes to step aerobics to yoga and more. Then she learned about Pilates. The practice, it was said, could transform bodies and change lives. Rachel was skeptical, but intrigued. After her first few sessions, she was hooked, because Pilates isn’t just exercise — it’s an education in body awareness that continues to reverberate long after the session itself has ended.

Rachel became a certified classical Pilates instructor in 2004 under Jill Cassady, a master trainer selected by Pilates guru Romana Krasnowsky to certify teachers in the Los Angeles area. Her clients range from people with injuries and seniors to athletes and pre- and post-natal women.

Rachel provides superior instruction and individualized attention in a challenging yet safe format. She looks forward to working with you on your own personal health and fitness journey.
